This contractual opportunity based in Islamabad invites experienced professionals to join Jazz as Manager Enterprise Risk. The role is pivotal in identifying and managing potential threats to the organization by developing risk management strategies aligned with VEON’s risk appetite framework. The Manager will promote a culture of risk awareness across Jazz and play a key role in protecting the company’s strategic and operational goals. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Controls & Risk Management, this position demands a proactive approach to risk identification, assessment, and mitigation within a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register in accordance with group-established principles. Collaborate with management to evaluate operational and executional controls designed to mitigate identified risks. Work closely with the Planning team to assess the impact of risks on financial statements and key performance indicators (KPIs). Support the integration of risk factors into business plans and annual budgets, ensuring continuous tracking of risks and mitigation efforts throughout the year. Create and update a heat map that highlights top risks and corresponding mitigation actions, and present these findings in internal forums. Prepare detailed Enterprise Risk Management reports summarizing critical risk factors and their potential business impact. Monitor key strategic projects to identify emerging risks, document findings, and provide ongoing updates to assess their influence on business objectives. Liaise with the regulatory team to evaluate risks arising from regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and legislation. Collaborate with the legal team to assess risks related to global sanctions and their implications for the organization and stakeholders. Partner with the compliance team to review risks within the compliance framework and oversee the implementation of mitigating measures. Assist the Head of Controls and Risk Management in organizing Business Risk Committee meetings, including preparation of materials, minute-taking, follow-up on action items, and maintaining accurate records.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with 3 to 6 years of experience in planning, business or operational risk, or commercial roles. Professional certifications such as CA or ACCA are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of finance, economics, and commercial practices is essential. Demonstrated expertise in reporting and analysis. Excellent stakeholder management skills, complemented by strong written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities. Proven relationship management capabilities with the ability to influence at various organizational levels. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. A detail-oriented, results-driven, logical, cooperative, and enthusiastic approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
