We are looking for a committed Quality Management professional to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) across the organization. This role is critical in setting internal quality standards, managing material inspections, and ensuring all products meet specified requirements. The successful candidate will champion continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate efforts across multiple departments, and cultivate a strong culture of quality ownership and discipline throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and sustain the Quality Management System (QMS) at all organizational levels.
- Establish internal quality standards, including Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) and laboratory testing protocols for incoming materials.
- Create and regularly update Quality Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inspection checklists, and detailed work instructions.
- Define and approve product quality specifications, tolerances, and finishing standards to maintain consistency.
- Maintain master samples, reference boards, workmanship guides, and style standard libraries for quality benchmarking.
- Conduct internal audits across all production stages to ensure compliance with QMS protocols.
- Identify quality system gaps and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans to resolve issues effectively.
- Perform structured root cause analysis for defects, process failures, customer claims, and recurring problems.
- Implement preventive quality controls aimed at reducing dependency on final inspections.
- Lead supplier quality assurance activities, including supplier evaluation, performance scoring, and improvement initiatives.
- Approve and standardize material testing requirements for leather, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Develop training materials and conduct skill development sessions for Quality Control (QC) inspectors and production teams.
- Collaborate with Research & Development (R&D) and product development teams to integrate quality standards into new product trials.
- Work closely with Merchandising to interpret customer requirements, specifications, and compliance expectations.
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Control (PPC) teams to embed quality checkpoints and hold-points within production workflows.
- Monitor Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at the system level and lead regular Quality Performance Review meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on defect reduction, lowering the cost of poor quality, and enhancing process efficiency.
- Promote a culture of quality ownership, discipline, proactive correction, and teamwork across all organizational levels.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in developing and managing Quality Management Systems within manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, AQL levels, and material testing protocols.
- Expertise in conducting internal audits and leading CAPA initiatives.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and implementation of preventive quality controls.
- Experience in supplier quality assurance and performance evaluation.
- Ability to develop training content and deliver effective skill development sessions.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams including R&D, Merchandising, and PPC.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to foster a quality-driven culture and continuous improvement mindset.
