Responsibilities:
Work with a team of editors and content creators to produce highly engaging, stories related to sub-culture phenomenon in Pakistan that isn't necessarily covered in the mainstream media. For e.g stories around counterculture movements, indie artists, local drug scene, urban legends etc.
Brainstorm ideas for stories with an existing team of content creators, whether it’s a video, article, gif or meme
Find ways of changing up current content-creation strategies to create compelling stories that delight our audience.
Use analytics tools to understand audience better and assist with editorial strategy
Work with editorial team on defining and executing a social media strategy
Be able to edit content with an eye on grammar, sentence structure, headlines, gifs, memes, formatting.
Work directly with the Executive Editor to set the team's editorial strategies, and produce the most interesting and impactful stories possible
Qualifications:
- University / College Graduate
1+ years experience writing and editing in digital media
Lives and thrives on social media and has a strong understanding of why people share the things they share on social media
