OVERVIEW:
Markalytics is a Canada-based Digital Agency, working in the eCommerce & B2B space. It is currently looking for a Full-time Content Writer with On-page SEO Skills, to support its marketing and business initiatives. The Creative Writer will work 40-hours per week at the Marklaytics regional office located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
SALARY: From PKR 40,000 (To be assessed on the basis of relevant experience & Interview)
PRIMARY WORK:
We are looking for a Content Writer to join our editorial team and enrich our websites with new blog posts, guides and marketing copy.Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
- Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
- Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Submit work to editors for input and approval
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
- Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
- Promote content on social media
- Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
- Update website content as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably Marketing, English, Journalism or related field)
- Proficient in web cowriting Google Suite and Cloud files management.
- Strong virtual organization skills; experience managing Content writing projects in Asana, Slack, BaseCamp a plus.
- Relevant Certifications are optional, but will be preferred.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Organization & Project Management: Use excel sheets and other tools to keep track of all work, and establish priorities to deadlines.
- Communicate and coordinate the delivery of projects, maintaining a high level of organization to ensure deliverables are completed.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2-3 years SEO writing experience ; Agency experience preferred.
- Relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fresh grads are also encouraged to apply.
- Freelancing experience is also preferred.
