- Review, update and ensure compliance of the departmental policies and procedures
- Managing day-to-day pharmacy operations
- Collaborate with medical staff, nursing and administration to maintain productive and effective relationships to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services across the hospital.
- Follows-up with Consultants to clarify prescribed medications, dosages, refills, interactions and allergies to suggest alternative medications, and answer medical provider questions.
- Ensuring preparation, maintenance, and reporting of pharmacy records in accordance with federal laws.
- May require to stay on-call for handling pharmacy-related emergencies.
- Managing pharmacy inventories by collaborating with the Procurement department
- Performing random stock audits of pharmacy.
- Updating pharmacy stock in accordance with market requirements.
- Defining staff schedules, duty rosters, task assignments and activities.
- Overseeing staff performance and timely completion of assignments.
