Job Description

Logistics Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and maintaining vehicles for deliveries.
  • Deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
  • Developing efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
  • Managing drivers so they adhere to strict schedules.
  • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
  • Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
  • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
  • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
  • Complying with Pakistan Transport laws and regulations.
  • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.
  • Utilizing tracking systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.

Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Stays familiar with the company's needs
  • Makes supply orders
  • Coordinates with people in different locations to see if a better price is available somewhere else or if suppliers in a certain area are not living up to expectations
  • Communicates with executives and gains approval for purchasing contracts with new vendors or on new supplies
  • Continuously comparison shops and negotiates to make sure the company gets the best possible prices on needed supplies
  • Communicates with suppliers and to make sure supplies get where they need to be when they need to be, even when a deadline is tight
  • Maintains a network of professional contacts in order to discover new opportunities for good deals on orders
  • Forecasts demand for certain products and makes orders accordingly
  • Checks inventory, tracks how inventory is used, and adjusts purchasing habits in accord with apparent trends
  • Processes payments and invoices
  • Keeps a well-organized collection of contracts for easy reference when needed
  • Attends meetings to stay up to date on the company's.

Inventory Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and space utilization at Store.
  • Ensure proper issuance of material as per users demand and allocation if given.
  • Ensure all the postings done on system/cards on daily Basis and record of Backlog maintained with proper justifications
  • Check & reconcile all the postings made in the MIS on daily basis.
  • Monitors and reports on out of stock goods.
  • Ensures that perpetual and annual inventory stocks are accurately counted and scanned.
  • Ensures that monthly stock status reports are submitted to the respective reflecting the accurate physical stock at the Store.
  • Ensure work place health and safety environment.
  • Ensure timely processing of under warranty materials.
  • Cycle count procedure to be adopted at Store level, with each stock item covered in a month
  • Any other related assignment given.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan work rotes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
  • Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

Import Responsibilities:

  • Investigating the specialized and technical needs in the management and administration of commodities and products that are sent for delivery from the organization.
  • Making sure that all the commodities and products are arranged properly and then dispersed.
  • Negotiating documented agreements for the delivery and management of products and commodities.
  • Receiving, formulating and verifying the required papers needed to make sure that the needs of the government and practicable administrative units or other organizational bodies are adhered to.
  • Administrating the transfer of commodities and products as per the particularities of the clients and making sure that the targets of the organization are achieved.
  • Coping up and communicating with the third parties indulging in these functional operations and paying and compiling the cash in lieu of the clients.
  • Administrating and supervising the workings and undertakings of the workers in the import section of the organization and handling the interactions with the clients and sellers.
  • Strategizing, planning and enforcing the import activities as per the providers and requirements of the clients.
  • Supervising the inside transfer of products and commodities and making sure that this is done in agreement with the rules, regulations and policies of the governing system authorities.
  • Collaborating with the providers and stock list programmers and strategies and making sure that the global products and commodities get transferred properly within the given time frame.
  • Making sure that the products and commodities arrive within the given time.
  • Ensuring that he/she receives superior quality freight charges per unit on a regular basis.
  • Creating, assessing and regenerating documented agreements according to the needs.
  • Observing and formulating the records of the activities related to imports
  • Approving and enforcing the application of alterations and modifications, if and when needed.
  • Helping to formulate quotes of trade goods for clients and executing freight and cargo reservation operations with movers or transporters.
  • Supervising, overseeing and enforcing trade safety for different protection plans, ensuring that all these are done in agreement with the client methods and processes and upholding the same.
  • Conducting investigations for different sections of the organization for import and export judicial rules, regulations and standard policies and upholding his/her familiarity with tariffs and licenses.
  • Working with the associates and members of the fiscal unit of the organization and upholding the stock list of the commodities and trade goods.
  • Studying, examining and revising debt and security papers and creating and developing programs for the import section of the organization.
  • Making sure that all these import programs are in agreement with the accepted rules and regulations of the organization.
  • Formulating and organizing presentations that are to be referred to the dominant and administrative authorities of the organization.
  • Offering security on consignments and dispatchments and creating, developing and completing disciplinary activities for various import methods and procedures.
  • Working with the unit head of the organization and checking, studying and examining various methods and procedures of importation.
  • Updating himself about the various rules, policies and programs of customs alongside upholding compliance with sectional modulations of the organization.
  • Completing all other operational undertakings and workings related to the imports of the organization and ensuring their compliance with the general policies of the same.
