- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
- Responsible to carry out preventive/corrective maintenance as per maintenance guidelines and best practices to ensure the maximum equipment reliability
- Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems
- Schedule both internal and external work(s) maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime
- Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating supervisors and repair services
- Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties
- Ensure things are done according to their SOPs.
- Ensure communication with the production department.
- Conduct meetings with maintenance department and admin to see the progress
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
- Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting · Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Supervise maintenance department for smooth execution of work processes and update to higher management.
- Stay up to date with latest maintenance processes management best practices and concepts
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Any other task that may be assigned by the management regarding development & maintenance.
