MIW is looking to hire an independent contractor for an Accounts Receivable/Collection specialist role who will manage customers’ accounts according to defined Strategies. The individual must possess the ability to interpret large volumes of data, reconcile customer accounts, payment remittance.
Essential Functions
- Collect on accounts by sending invoice reminders and communication with customers via phone, email, fax or mail
- Review collection reports to ascertain status of collection and balance outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current.
- Process new customers credit application
- Review and get supervisory approval for any adjustments to accounts.
- Monitor the percentages of aged accounts
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Treat all customer interactions in a professional, polite and firm manner
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectable; ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad credit status to account.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with U.S. business accounting principles
- Basic understanding of AR and AP
- Familiarity with Bill.co and Quickbooks
- Good writing and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Customer Service experience
- Willingness to learn
