McMaster Supply Group is seeking a dedicated Procurement & Sales Engineer who possesses strong skills in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and technical product knowledge. This role requires an individual who can effectively source products, manage customer relationships, and handle procurement planning and contract management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working in procurement or sales-related roles, demonstrating the ability to manage RFQs and develop strong customer engagements. This position does not involve managing a team but demands a proactive and organized approach to support company objectives and maintain optimal supplier and customer satisfaction levels. This position combines both procurement and sales functions, requiring proficiency in coordinating between suppliers and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective product sourcing. The Procurement & Sales Engineer will play a key role in evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, analyzing cost parameters, and maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders. The candidate should bring a technical understanding of the products involved and use that expertise to enhance the purchasing process and sales support. Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth procurement and sales processes.
  • Develop and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) to obtain competitive pricing and terms from suppliers.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis to optimize purchasing decisions and support sales proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to establish favorable terms and conditions that align with company goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical product specifications to effectively communicate with customers and suppliers.
  • Plan procurement activities ensuring timely sourcing of materials and products needed for sales commitments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into procurement specifications.
  • Manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
  • Support customer relationship management by providing technical information and resolving inquiries promptly.
  • Track market trends and product availability to recommend alternative sourcing options as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement metrics, supplier evaluations, and sales support activities.
  • Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams to ensure seamless product delivery and stock availability.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies based on procurement costs and customer demand.
  • Continuously improve procurement and sales processes by identifying opportunities to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
