This position is responsible for creating and implementing an array of Web-based products using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript, and API. You develop back-end components, connect the application with other web services, and assist front-end developers by ensuring their work integrates with the application. Also, you might be asked to develop and integrate plug-ins for popular frameworks.
What Will I Be Doing?
PHP Developers have the following responsibilities:
Code Analysis
You must conduct a rigorous analysis of the website or webpage requirements. This involves a brainstorming session with the team to either come up with ideas for a new site/page or a complete revamp of an existing one. Then you’ll need to determine the feasibility of each idea before identifying the best way to proceed. You’re also expected to offer details on the site’s features and functionalities.
Development & Database Optimisation
The next step is to use your technical knowledge to develop the site/page as per the final plan. What you create must be dynamic and include the advantages of PHP Script. A PHP Developer is expected to develop a portal with an optimized database.
Testing
You have to test the site/page for every conceivable error and get feedback from the client. Once you have located errors, debug them and finalize the site/page. After receiving approval, implement the webpage or host the site online.
Maintenance
A PHP Developer’s job is not done when the website/webpage has been published! You must update it continuously and alter functionalities from time to time to improve visibility and user experience.
To become successful at this position, you must possess the following:
Excellent knowledge of the basic PHP or web server exploits along with their solutions.
Total understanding of PHP’s fully synchronous behavior.
Prestashop, Magento and Wordpress experience, know how to code, and manage the e-commerce platforms
The ability to integrate a variety of data sources and databases into a single system.
The capacity to understand accessibility and security compliance.
Proficiency when it comes to code versioning tools.
Understanding of MVC design patterns.
Expert level understanding of front-end technologies, such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap, jQuery and CSS3.
Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.
Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
Familiarity with the limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds.
Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Good knowledge of database languages – MySQL.
Extensive experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Experience in common third-party APIs, API Integration with PHP
Creating / Customizing Themes, Plugins, Modules and various functionality in Prestashop.
Creating / customizing / Implementing Restful APIs, Payment Gateways and other APIs in existing as well as new applications.
Your job may involve:
Communicating with global clients on the internet through mail, chat, and phone.
Understanding the client’s requirements and delivering the output in the desired time, with the expected quality of work.
Sharing scheduled reports to Clients, Team Lead and Manager.
Collecting timely performance feedback from the client.
Promptly acting and closing every requirement. Quality Assurance and Reporting.
