General objectives of the function:
- The Civil Engineer is responsible to deliver & accomplishing the rehabilitation work associated with facilities and other areas in compliance with the project’s goals and objectives.
- He is in charge of the day to day management & supervision, ensuring the overall efficiency & effectiveness of processes & activities are undertaken to achieve timely delivery of infrastructures.
- He is furthermore accountable for providing technical assistance to the Project’s team, including inputs to the development of the protocols for the maintenance of the infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall technical assistance to rehabilitations projects, from their planning to their implementation, monitoring and quality assurance.
- Responsible to ensure that effective implementation, monitoring & supervision tools are developed & implemented.
- Responsible to ensure effective quality control systems are in place & contractor & engineering consultancy companies work in compliance with technical specifications & quality standards.
- Responsible to develop BOQs, drawing and design of construction and infrastructure work.
- Verification of the appropriate standard and quantity of materials used in civil/ infrastructure work.
- Ensure all technical inputs & cost estimates related to the construction components are accurate, timely provided & included in the project proposals & budgets.

- Transversal: Attitude, behavior flexibility & Adaptability/Complexity and Stress Management/Emotional Intelligence, Creativity and Initiative
- Technical Competencies: IT and computer-related skills (Microsoft pack);
Linguistic Skills:
- Excellent Communication skills in English, Urdu and ability to speak.
- Pushtu OR Local languages are an asset.
