As a Medical Doctor at DMJ DHQ Hospital, you will provide critical care for neonates suffering from conditions such as prematurity, birth asphyxia, and neonatal sepsis. You will conduct morning rounds alongside other medical and paramedical team members under the supervision of the Medical Advisor and monitor infection control rigorously to prevent nosocomial infections in vulnerable neonates.
Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses, monitoring growth and development, and referring complicated cases for specialized care. You will coordinate with vaccination and nutrition teams and manage cases of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) using established protocols.
Additionally, you will activate emergency protocols during disease outbreaks, collaborate with outreach teams to prevent malnutrition, and ensure continuity of essential services during crises. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to departmental meetings to analyze morbidity and mortality trends.
