Program Management
- Participate in the development and realization of the country strategy.
- Drive the medical and technical aspects in the development of organizational strategy and budget.
- Design new health interventions in compliance with organization, donor`s project design guidelines and according to the population needs.
- Make sure the different components of the program are consistent and in link with population needs
- Lead the implementation of medical activities in link with the needs of the focused areas of intervention
- Conduct rapid health assessments as per need.
- Lead the monitoring of the different components of the program and ensure the existence and functionality of project monitools.
- Share a regular analysis of organizational medical data and enforce corrective measures on the medical activities’ qualities with the support of the Medical Advisor
- Lead, supervise and ensure the creation and implementation of medical activities daily, weekly, and monthly plans in all bases in the country.
- Validate technical guidelines, feedbacks and advisories shared by the medical advisors.
Team Management
- Recruit staff under her/his direct or technical management
- Ensure proper induction, capacity building of medical team at different levels.
- Develop individual action plans and proceed to regular professional evaluations
- Define, roll out and supervise the whistleblowing policy and tools especially in relation to respecting patients/beneficiaries’ rights and dignity in organizations interventions.
Stock and logistics chain for medical purchase
- Establish alongside the Health Advisor the list of essential medicines and medical orders.
- Ensure that orders for medical equipment, drugs and consumables are appropriate to program requirements and local regulations
- Follow up on medical purchase process and ensure timely delivery of requested items.
- Ensure the compliance of medical stock management to organizational SOPs and internal regulations
Coordination and representation
- Participate in the different medical meetings, especially health nutrition and GBV clusters/sector meetings
- Establish and maintain good relationship with MoH and relevant technical authorities to country program.
- Ensure coordination and work in close collaboration with other actors in the country to avoid duplication and to address uncovered population needs.
- Evaluate the needs and requests of partners
- Provide technical supervision and capacity building for partner organization.
Reporting and communication
- Share quality Monthly medical reports and sitreps
- Participate in the writing of donor's activity reports and proposals
- Provide the needed information and available materials for advocacy and visibility on organizational actions, humanitarian situation in Pakistan
