The role requires an individual with at least seven years of experience in mechanical maintenance and equipment inspection. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the Machinery Supervisor must coordinate with various site personnel and manage resource logistics effectively. The candidate must also handle the scheduling of preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and emergency repairs while maintaining detailed records of spare parts inventory and fuel consumption logs to support operational accuracy and budget adherence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment, operation, and tracking of heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and dump trucks across multiple sites.
- Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance programs to enhance machine lifespan and performance.
- Coordinate and monitor routine servicing tasks and ensure timely response to emergency machine repairs.
- Manage spare parts inventory efficiently to avoid machine downtime due to unavailability of critical components.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption to control costs and adhere to budgetary requirements.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with machine operators and mechanics to resolve operational problems and optimize machine utilization.
- Implement quality control measures to confirm machinery operates within designated performance parameters.
- Ensure adherence to company policies concerning health, safety, and environmental regulations during machine operations.
- Generate reports on machine performance, maintenance activities, and inventory status to support management decisions.
