• To ensure an adequate manpower is available to perform requisite cargo operations and to take attendance of detailed staff.
  • To ensure all cargo operations are being performed according to the requirements of customer airlines and IATA regulations.
  • To ensure the acceptance of cargo is being performed as per client airlines’ instructions and IATA regulations.
  • To ensure 100% scanning of all accepted and custom cleared cargo.
  • To ensure proper storage of all scanned cargo according to specific storage place.
  • To ensure proper inspection of ULDs to determine airworthiness and serviceability prior to cargo build up.
  • To ensure proper build up of ULDs as per PFM of concerned airline.
  • To ensure proper manifestation of all out bound cargo as per IATA / ICAO format Annex-9 Apendix-3.
  • To ensure proper documentation of export cargo and cross check all prepared documents / concertina and make sure that documents including AWB / HAWB / Manifest are handed over to Purser / PIC.
  • To ensure proper weighing of built up ULDs prior to release the cargo to the aircraft for loading.
  • To ensure that all export & import cargo is escorted while transportation to and from the aircraft and suitable covers to be used if required due to bad weather or otherwise.
  • To keep close liaison with Flt Ops regarding ETA & ETD of flights.
  • To ensure proper checking and identifying of import cargo and preparing a correct cargo summary.
  • To prepare damage cargo report if applicable and in case of discrepancy inform the Airline representative.
  • To supervise the breakdown of cargo and positioning at appropriate place.
  • To ensure immediate delivery of prior released cargo / ICG.
  • To ensure timely notification to importer / consignee.
  • To ensure that delivery orders must be issued and completed for each consignment after all the charges have been paid.
  • To ensure post flight messages / discrepancy report has been raised if required.
  • To ensure that all information is recorded in respective logbooks and supervisor’ diary.
  • To train / groom all cargo staff under his command.
  • To ensure proper conduct of monthly inspection of cargo department.
  • To recommend leave of staff working under his command.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate
  • 05 years’ experience of Cargo Handling, Storage and Warehouse up keeping.
  • To be able to handle and monitor all the Cargo functions in order to achieve customer’s requirements.
  • Should be qualified for DG CAT-6
  • To be able to work in an ISO certified company knowledgeably.
  • Immediate support. Able to influence, engage and motivate at all levels.
  • Flexible, determined to succeed and self-motivated.
  • Extensive knowledge of Menzies Aviation operations, the airline industry, ground-handling market, and applicable airline regulatory standards.
