MENZIES-RAS Pvt Ltd is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join its Finance Department. This internship is ideal for students and recent graduates who wish to gain practical experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, and ERP-based financial management. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Receivables, Payables, and Taxation teams, gaining hands-on exposure to daily finance activities in a professional setting. This role offers valuable learning opportunities to develop skills in the finance function and understand corporate finance operations within a dynamic company.
The Finance Intern will work under supervision, assisting with various transactional and reporting tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of financial data. The internship involves supporting key finance processes such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, and tax compliance. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and a willingness to learn. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential as the intern interacts with multiple teams and participates in process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in recording, maintaining, and verifying daily receivable transactions using the Receivable Management System.
- Support invoice generation, customer account reconciliations, and follow-up on outstanding balances to ensure accurate receivables records.
- Assist in processing vendor invoices and recording accounts payable transactions using the ERP system while ensuring compliance with financial controls.
- Support payment processing and reconciliation of supplier accounts to maintain organized payment records.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations by reviewing bank statements, identifying discrepancies, and supporting resolution efforts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including support for month-end closing activities like accruals and expense analysis.
- Compile and organize financial data to prepare management reports, financial schedules, and aid in financial analysis tasks.
- Support taxation activities by collecting and preparing data for sales tax filings and maintaining relevant tax documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with general finance tasks such as data entry, document management, and administrative support for the finance team.
- Participate in finance-related projects and process improvement initiatives to promote operational efficiency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial information and records.
- Engage with experienced finance professionals for mentorship and learning to develop a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance processes.
