MENZIES-RAS Pvt Ltd offers an exciting opportunity for a Technical Ground Support Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations in the aviation industry. This role involves assisting in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems associated with GSE. The intern will participate in supporting preventive maintenance activities, performing system upgrades, and managing documentation related to equipment functionality and service. Attention to safety, technical accuracy, and effective communication are essential aspects of this role, providing a solid foundation for a career in aviation engineering and maintenance.
This internship position is ideal for candidates currently pursuing or recently graduated with degrees in Aerospace, Avionics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering. The intern works closely with experienced engineers without managing any team but has the opportunity to develop critical technical skills in a collaborative environment. The role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team while adhering to operational safety standards and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical Ground Support Equipment systems under supervision.
- Support and participate in preventive maintenance activities and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external queries regarding the functionality and performance of GSE systems.
- Document all technical problems, resolutions, service reports, and maintenance logs clearly and comprehensively to assist in equipment tracking and analysis.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, spare parts, and technical manuals required for daily maintenance and repair tasks.
- Contribute to system upgrades, retrofits, and modifications of ground support equipment by assisting senior engineers and technicians.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineering staff and follow up diligently on corrective actions until resolution is confirmed.
- Ensure all activities comply with established safety procedures and operational standards to protect personnel and equipment integrity.
- Develop familiarity with technical drawings, manuals, and aviation industry standards to improve troubleshooting accuracy and technical understanding.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in all hands-on maintenance and support tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members by communicating clearly and supporting group objectives in a multidisciplinary work environment.
