General Position Summary

Under DEPP-TB, Mercy Corps will be implementing an innovative intervention by engaging pharmacies to track existing TB patients who are not enrolled in the TB control program. The intervention will primarily be based on an android application that will be used by enrolled pharmacies to record prescription level patient data and help TB program track and identify missing TB cases. Therefore, Mercy Corps is seeking a pharmacy professional with proven skills in pharmaceutical interventions or pharmaceutical industry, or pharmacy related projects, to oversee the overall implementation of this intervention.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall component and submit reports on the progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Develop a comprehensive pharmacy level implementation guideline and ensure the onboarding of pharmacies for this intervention.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the mandatory TB case notification through pharmacies in all the targeted 57 districts.
  • Obtaining a list of all the Category-A pharmacies in the targeted 57 districts.
  • Obtaining a list of all pharmacies that buy/sell TB Medicines in selected districts.
  • Facilitating the workshops and trainings for pharmacists and SR teams to utilize the application
  • Conduct a pilot program in limited districts to assess the viability of the intervention and application
  • Implement phase-wise rollout of the intervention in 57 districts of Pakistan.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation visit to the implementing districts.
  • Continuous coordination with field team and partners NGOs.
  • Maintain a log of all the changes and modifications in the android application to improvise the user experience and utility of the application.
  • Conduct regular coordination with field team to supervise the overall component.

Knowledge and Experience

  • B.Pharmacy or D.Pharmacy or Master’s degree in public health/project management
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical projects or industry or relevant field
  • Highly computer literate with capabilities in understanding latest digital technology
  • Experience of working in Pharmaceutical Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of conducting capacity building workshops
