In this role, the Draughting Engineer will work closely with Project Design Engineers to manage drawing changes and maintain accurate, up-to-date engineering documentation. Responsibilities include creating part drawings from assemblies and vice versa, ensuring all drawing files are properly maintained with version histories and design records. The role does not involve managing a team but requires excellent organizational skills to handle multiple revision tasks and coordination. Candidates with practical drafting experience and strong attention to detail will excel and make significant contributions to product design and development efforts at Metal Formings Pvt (Ltd).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Project Design Engineer to implement drawing modifications and updates.
- Update and revise 2D and 3D engineering drawings according to project specifications.
- Create detailed part drawings from assembly drawings.
- Develop assembly drawings from individual part drawings to support manufacturing.
- Maintain and organize all drawing files with proper revision control and version history.
- Ensure all design documentation complies with drafting standards and specifications.
- Interpret mechanical engineering drawings accurately, including tolerances, dimensions, and annotations.
- Support the design for manufacturing (DFM) initiatives through effective drafting practices.
- Utilize AutoCAD for producing precise technical drawings and maintain design consistency.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical drafting principles such as limits and fits to ensure quality drawings.
- Assist in SolidWorks assembly design and basic modeling tasks as required.
