Metro Shoes is one of the leading footwear retailer in Pakistan looking for highly skilled candidate for the post of Senior Manager Planning & Distribution.

Location: Head Office, Rawalpindi.

Qualifications: Bachelors in Supply Chain (or equivalent), Masters will be preferred.

Experience: Must have 10 years or above experience of management of supply chain, product planning in Footwear Retail Industry. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual budgeting plan by having strong command on product supply and demand strategies.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations and Purchasing Departments to plan the right products with right quantity.
  • Maintain inventory and stock levels, inventory reporting & analysis, maintain supply chain inventory records.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
  • Sales forecast at category level and competitive product pricing.
  • Data, cost and other value chain analysis for cost reduction and margin improvements.
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
  • Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs.
  • Inter transfer and distribution of stock, identification of slow moving inventory and their liquidation strategy.
  • Oversee daily activities of the team and provide guidance as needed.
  • Work with team to plan, coordinate and execute planning activities.

Having surpassed the expectation of our Customers by virtue of quality and durability the next phase was the expansion of operations. As the population of twin cities (Rawalpinidi-Islamabad) was expanding sharply, therefore a great need was felt to enlarge the operations at different locations to provide quality products to Metro�s Customers. For this purpose two more branches were opened in the Twin Cities in the year 2000. Gradually, the heat of the Metro brand goes beyond the boundaries. In 2000, management decided to open a Metro Mall in Mirpur Azad Jamu & Kashmir to offer various quality products to the Customers. Today Metro is not only a Shoe Brand but it�s a Brand known for its quality standards having multiple products being offered to its customers. Considering the public response and immaculate demand of Metro�s products, Management has decided to expand its operations and have a three phase expansion strategy for future growth. In the initial phase we have planned to open five outlets before December 31, 2007 at various leading shopping centers in various cities of the country which include Peshawar, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Faisalabad. Secondly Metro has planned to enter Lahore which is a big market for Metro Brand. For this purpose there is a plan to have our own central warehousing facility at some prime location in the city. Thirdly Metro has planned to open its International branches at various attractive business locations like New York, London, Manchester, etc. This decision has been incorporated as Metro has a large number of its loyal customers in these world trade centers. In order to support the whole business process management has planned to implement ERP solutions which will be effective within a short span of time.
