Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

Production Management

- Define and implement the right production assortment that meets the needs of our customers. You are expected to manage the product forecasting, sizing of new opportunities and own the levers that drive profit and cash flow for our business, including new product introduction, quality improvements and pricing optimizations

  • Plan and draw up a production schedule
  • Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance set the quality standards
  • Ensure that the production will be cost effective by estimating costs and negotiating and agreeing budgets with both clients and managers
  • Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes
  • Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
  • Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
  • Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
  • Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for both factory managers and Customers
  • Supervise and motivate a team of workers
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and contributions of direct reports and staff in attaining business goals and objectives and provide feedback and development opportunities as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, product development, with evidence of customer impact and exceptional ability
  • Demonstrated ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel, across teams, in a short time frame, with ability to pivot rapidly
  • Passionate about working with other businesses and partners to solve their specific challenges while putting customer trust and experience first
  • Proven history of converting learnings from customer insights into tangible product features that customers love
  • Entrepreneurial instincts with clear bias for informed action and track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA, or equivalent experience
