Migoo Industrial and Trading is seeking an experienced Granulation Plant Manager to lead and manage its granulation production facility in Uganda. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring operational excellence, compliance with safety standards, and quality control. This leadership role requires the management of a team of 50 personnel, driving their performance to meet production targets while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate has over five years of relevant experience in plant management within a related industry and is willing to relocate to Uganda. The Granulation Plant Manager is responsible for strategic planning and execution of production schedules, maintaining equipment functionality, and enforcing rigorous safety and quality measures. This role calls for a strong commitment to continuous improvement and cost management, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and increase plant productivity. The manager will also ensure regulatory compliance, facilitate training for team members, and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the granulation plant to achieve production goals and maintain product quality.
  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize plant efficiency and meet customer demand.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance programs to ensure operational reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety policies and procedures to protect staff and plant integrity.
  • Manage a team of 50 employees, providing direction, training, and support to enhance performance.
  • Monitor production metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to streamline production workflows.
  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and development of plant personnel to build a strong workforce.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Coordinate emergency response and risk management plans related to plant operations.
