Due to our continual growth, we need a Senior System Administrator (Windows/MSP) to join our team who has previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider. We are a well-established Managed Service, Cloud Service and IT consulting firm.

The System Administrator (Windows/MSP) s primarily responsible for troubleshooting and resolving tickets in ConnectWise and working on infrastructure improvement projects. Technologies that the System Administrator (Windows/MSP) should be comfortable with include: Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Backups, Storage, Networking, and Server Room Operations. The System Administrator (Windows/MSP) will be provisioning, configuring, and patching servers, and provisioning network gear.

System Administrator (Windows/MSP) Responsibilities

Support Required of the Following:

  • Managing and Maintaining Windows Based Environments for Small & Mid-Sized Businesses
  • Actively work on tickets in your work queue providing daily, detailed ticket notes, timely communication, and resolution or escalation. Provide excellent customer service
  • Microsoft 365 Environments, Azure knowledge a plus!
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Server, SQL Server, Check Point and other firewalls, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Office 365
  • Support for Virtual Environments including VMWare
  • Support for Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDS) Servers (not just Desktop!)
  • Management of Firewalls, Switches, and Routers (SonicWALL/Dell)
  • Experience with advanced Endpoint Protection Tools.
  • Security Experience with setting up Multi-Factor Authentication
  • Desktop, Laptop, and Mobile Device Administration
  • Backup Management and Disaster Recovery System Deployments
  • Install new or rebuild existing servers and network gear. Configure hardware, software peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
  • Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for systems administration tasks
  • Operate and maintain a Windows Server Infrastructure utilizing the latest versions of software and operating systems (e.g. Win2k8R2, Office365, Shell Scripting, Citrix XenApp, etc.)
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all critical hardware, software, resources, processes, and scheduled jobs.

Functional Technical Requirements

  • Ability to Build a Windows Server (both physical and virtual)
  • Experience in Management of VMWare vSphere Environments including Deployment, Management, and Troubleshooting
  • Experience with Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Microsoft DNS
  • Previous or current work for another MSP or IT Service Provider a big plus!!

Overview

This position reports directly to the VP of Infrastructure & Services for Miracle Technologies Inc. located at Corporate Headquarters in New York City, New York. The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and implement, independently and in cooperation with department Management.

This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
