Financial Management & Reporting
· Responsible for the functioning & Management of the bank’s Finance and accounts operations, Treasury & Budgeting & Planning functions.
· Oversee the Preparation of financials & ensure Internal Controls with respect to completeness, Timeliness and Accuracy and reporting to stakeholders at defined frequency.
· Plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of effective accounting and financial administration policies, procedures and reports to ensure sound financial management and control of the Bank.
· Oversee accounting, internal and external reporting, accounts payable, fixed assets and tax management.
· Undertake financial analysis of the bank’s operations for decision making and ensuring budgetary control over key business matrices/KPI and support in decision making
Capital & Asset/Liability Management
· Manage Bank’s capital structure in line with the bank’s growth requirements; communicate capital requirements/ implications of business decisions to CEO and BOD.
· Oversees the asset liability composition & management of the bank to manage the liquidity for the bank, optimize funds utilization and make arrangements as required.
· Manage working capital of the bank in line with the financial strategy to meet business objectives remaining within the BoD set parameters.
· Provide useful financial insights to the Management to help them make better decisions about formulating and executing business strategy.
· Oversees Treasury function ensuring optimum funds arrangement & utilization, security of funds & generating return on funds.
Financial Planning & Budgeting
· Build strong financial discipline and capacity at Finance department ensuring timely & accurate financial reporting & forecasts
· Oversee budgeting, Planning & forecasting functions of the bank and ensure development of short term & long term budgets, business plans and forecasts are available & updated in line with the business strategy of the bank
· Identify and drive appropriate growth strategy, financial analysis and due diligence to enable the bank to reach its strategic goals.
Board of Directors
· Update financial position & results to the BoD via Board Audit Committee & Board of Directors in the meeting.
· Report on the Bank’s Financial Results, Budget variations & Objectives Achievements periodically along with Capital structure & growth planning enabling BoD to set business objectives & KPI for the bank
Stakeholders Management
· Ensure that resources, direction and internal controls and financial processes exist to achieve timely and accurate reporting of all financial matters to group and internal/external parties.
· Work closely with the Bank’s external auditors and meet, as appropriate, with representatives from the Central Bank and other regulatory authorities.
· Liaison with stakeholders including Group, sister concerns and manage the financial planning and reporting requirements in line with the requirements
· Liaise with central bank & other regulatory/statutory bodies to ensure functioning of the bank in line with the requirements.
