· Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
· A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, POP, HTTP, HTTPS and distributed networks)
· Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.
· Shell Scripting, MySQL and NoSQL knowledge will be a plus.

· Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
· Possesses knowledge of Network devices, switches, routers, L2 & L3 device management, network security, Mail relay agents, Access controls, intrusion detection and prevention
· VPN creation and management, virtual hosting, virtual private networks, cloud deployments
· Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
· Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.
