We're looking urgently for senior mobile application developers for iOS and Android platforms.
Rather than just hiring for expertise in a particular technology stack, we believe that great developers also demonstrate their skill through design, UX, thoughtful architectural, user empathy, and overall product understanding. In other words, we're looking for someone who sees themselves as more than just a cog in the wheel.
Skills & Requirements for Android and iOS developers
· Working in our small but growing mobile development team
· Building a mobile app with a rapidly growing user base that expects our app to work
· Writing Java/Kotlin – our codebase for Android is Java
· Writing Swift – our codebase for iOS Swift
· Using automated testing and Continuous Integration as we grow our team
· Working together with our strong backend development team to deliver new functionality
· Interacting with our in-house designer to achieve a polished UX
· Taking part in code reviews
· Regularly assessing and improving anything that affects you, your team or the company through retrospectives
· Working with Java/Kotlin OR Swift, Fabric (Answers, Crashlytics, Twitter), Google Analytics, Firebase, Google SDK, GitHub, Localisations and Push Notifications
The person we would like is:
· Experienced in building and iterating apps
· Skilled in object-oriented software, protocol- oriented development
· Understanding of Human Interface Guidelines
· Versed in software architecture and design patterns, ideally MVC or MVVM
· Fluent in Java and the Android SDKs OR
· Fluent in Swift and the iOS SDKs
· Experienced in automated testing and continuous integration
· Able to contribute to the design of APIs
· Prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in
· Interested in app trends and keeping up to date with Android technologies OR
· Interested in app trends and keeping up to date with Apple technologies
· Has live applications on Google Play Store OR Apple App Store
· Integration of web services (SOAP, REST, Web API)
· Knowledge of Code Architecture, Code Versioning, Release Cycle
· Experience of using various source control GIT, TFS, SVN
· Excellent English and communication skills
