Backend Engineer Skills you'll need:
● A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or comparable professional experience in the field
● 2+ years of software development experience
● Proficiency with server side/back end programming languages Java or C#
● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Bonus points:
● Node.js
● Knowledge of REST, Push API, and websockets
● GraphQL
● Kafka
● Firebase
● Redis
● Knowledge of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, Mercurial etc.)
Responsibilities:
● Writing clean, modern, testable, well-documented code each iteration
● Ensure that systems are designed and developed to comply with architectural standards in accordance with evolving methodologies and practices
● Participate in sprint planning and design alongside the team to build a heavily used EHR platform
● Code, develop tests and ensure implementation of software into production goes smoothly alongside Product Manager,QA and other developers
● Research and engage in emerging technologies
