The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will provide technology vision and leadership to the Company and serve as a key strategic advisor to the Executive Team. The CIO will assist in the direction, planning, implementation, and maintenance of information systems to support both distributed programmatic and centralized business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT operations.

  • Direct and manage computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules for business, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
  • Direct the information and data integrity of the company and its business units.
  • Develop strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the company to ensure that IT capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company's growth and objectives.
  • Develop, establish and evaluate operating policies and approaches for information technology and recommend enhancements.
  • Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Interact with company managers on internal and external operations that are impacted by the storage, processing and dissemination of information.
  • Review and approve major contracts for information technology services and equipment.
  • Responsible for leading all Information Technology initiatives and manages through both Direct and Indirect reports which includes Security, Application Development, Database Management, Policy Processing, Network Support, Web Integration, Marketing Systems Support, Synchronization etc.
  • Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications including mobile technology e.g. android, iPhone, iPad development and cloud computing based applications.
  • Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
  • Identify and assess emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company.
  • Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.
  • Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individuals/teams/departments in information technology efforts.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Required Skills:

  • At least Masters Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology along with Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience with increasing responsibilities for management. Experience in strategic planning and execution will be preferred.
  • Experience of Healthcare IT and knowledge of ICD 9 & 10 Codes, Electronic Health Record (EHR), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Health Level 7(HL7) will be an asset.
  • Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and communicate for effective use of resources.
  • Strong communication, project management,  conflict resolution, decision making and team building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
