The TFS Administrator role will administer all aspects of enterprise TFS infrastructure and work on developing MTBC’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes for projects, setting up and maintaining TFS infrastructure and developing a delivery model best suited to organizational needs by automating software build and package migration processes. Major responsibilities include working closely with development and operations teams, supporting them transition through legacy development process to ALM best practices.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and will continuously strive to improve and automate our build and release process.Essential Functions:- Providing hands-on training to development teams on ALM through TFS
- Building and packaging of .NET websites, Windows services, WCF services and SharePoint applications
- Support MTBC’s build environments and automated package migration processes
- Configure software builds and automated deployments to environments
- Team Foundation Server (TFS) administration; support and maintain version control
- Perform software branching activities for each release cycle
- Assist in the maintenance and administration of build/release system
- Incorporating new development projects into existing build structures
- Installing and/or upgrading new software tools when needed and help administrate common engineering resources
- Participate in the improvement, documentation, communication and enforcement of configuration engineering processes for software applications
- Continually evaluate tools and technologies to improve the overall release process
- 4+ yrs. with Team Foundation Server
- Advanced knowledge of TFS, the build system and build customization requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Test Management Configuration Administration
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint Site Administration and TFS components for SharePoint
- Advanced knowledge of Release Management Server architecture and administration of all related components
- Strong understanding of the TFS Web Access portal
- Understanding of TFS application integration with SharePoint and Release Management Server
- Intermediate level C# and the ability to understand and navigate code logic
- Experience with Windows Server administration (2008/2012)
- Experience with SQL Server administration (SQL Server 2008/2012)
- Working knowledge and interaction SQL Server Reports Services and Analysis Services (SQL Server 2008/2012)
- Working knowledge and interaction of IIS administration
