- Build new database instances for client's requirements on-premise and assess, plan and migrate to Azure cloud environment.
- Assist with identifying and planning potential Azure cloud services, features and capabilities.
- Serve as subject matter expert on SQL Server DBA technology and market capabilities/trends.
- Collaborate with internal application teams to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
- Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability and performance of SQL Server databases.
- Work with application teams to analyze & diagnose application connectivity issues.
- Review performance of SQL Server queries, jobs and troubleshoot issues and optimize SQL Server usage and improve availability.
- Maintain up-to-date data dictionary and resolve data conflicts with users.
- Document databases in support of system development life cycle compliance.
- Be part of on-call rotation and provide support to application teams.
- Experience to support applications using SQL Server BI solutions/SRSS, SSIS, SSAS.
- SSIS package deployment & troubleshooting package failures. SSRS reports deployment and configuration of report delivery.
- Working with project management tools like Jira, VSTS or Wrike is expected.
- Other Skills Advanced knowledge of writing SQL and T-SQL, Understands and follows MS SQL Server best
- Full hands on Git and branching workflow is required.
- Linux and Azure cloud management skills are expected and will be considered as a value add on.
