BIC is searching for an experienced, highly technical and hands-on Backend Web Developer to join our Marketing Team.
In this role, you’ll be involved in the development projects across predominantly WordPress, LAMP Stack, JSON and other related technologies.
In addition to having a proven technical background, you must also have proven management capability and a track record in the leadership of WordPress projects, themes, plug-ins, software development, and delivery of projects within a WordPress and software development environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Applicable software coding conventions.
Source/Configuration management procedures.
Conducting website performance tests and fixes. Experience designing and developing responsive WordPress websites.
Familiar with Google WebMaster Guidelines, Website Experience Optimization, Server & Hosting Management, Site Migration, SSL Management, and Affiliate Sales Tracking.
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration. Have sound knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, XML Parsing, JQuery.
Ensuring high-performance and availability and managing all technical aspects of the CMS. Have hands-on experience on WordPress and Custom Theme & Plugin development. Work to resolve any items/bugs/changes assigned by the Quality Assurance Team.
Write a unit-test code and perform unit-tests on the developed software. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}} Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
Education level Bachelor’s degree in any software development related disciplines.
Experience Minimum Experience – 3+ years of professional experience as Backend developer or Web Developer.
Specific skills Page Insights, CDNs, Core Web Vitals, AMP, Hosting Management. WordPress, Javascript, JSON, XML Parsing. Familiarity with browser testing and debugging. PHP frameworks and Git. Some knowledge of Linux commands.
