- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, architects, municipalities etc. to determine the specification of the project.
- Oversee the beginning of each turnkey project, including details like permit submission and design evaluation.
- Create a schedule for each project and match talent to the job.
- Conduct meetings on-site with clients, architects, and the construction crew.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and material) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Acquire equipment, materials and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Hire subcontractors, suppliers and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
- Supervise the work of construction manager, project engineer, QA/QC engineers, HES officer, QS and supporting staff etc. and give them guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and reports issues. Preparing and maintaining project, stages and exception plans required.
- Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans. Liaison with senior management including head office departments of logistics, finance, IT and HR. Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary applying change control and configure processes.
- Reporting through agreed lines on project progress through highlighted reports and end stage assessments.
- Other tasks as assigned after the appointment
