Job purpose
Lead the design of applications with user interfaces; ensuring designs are aligned with user needs. Create information architecture and user interface designs for given systems. Contribute to creating a shared vision and strategy for user experience.
Knowledge and Abilities:
• Responsive web design
• Design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong visual and UX design skills
• Solid understanding and hands on experience of current web technologies (HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 3+, JavaScript etc.)
• Proficient with Git
Duties and responsibilities
• Maintain an understanding and adhere to evolving industry standards and trends such as Google Material design
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, user journeys, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and sitemaps
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes to code
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Work with back-end developers to integrate system RESTful API Work standards
• Self-starter with a strong work ethics
• Customer-centric approach
• Team player
• Attention to detail
• A flexible approach and ability to adapt
• Flexibility and strong leadership skills to be able to work with remote teams and eventually lead a global company effort in design
• Experience in Financial Services or Banking industry
• Hands on experience with Angular 6+
• Hands on experience with front end design patterns such as reactive system design
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Familiar with testing frameworks (Ex. Jasmine, Karma)
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS (SCSS)
• Experience in JavaScript build tools like Webpack
