Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective implementation of the CBDRR/DRM and SBDRR/DRM activities;
  • To work with the community and school management for the roll-out of agreed project activities;
  • Ensure effective implementation of Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction/Management (CBDRR/M) initiatives i.e. formation of VDMCs, HVCA, risk and resource mapping and Disaster Preparedness Planning Ensure that CB-DRR/DRM is implemented effectively in good quality standards and ensuring consistency of the work in accordance to the programme goal and objectives;
  • Assist Provincial Coordinator in developing operational plans on weekly and monthly basis, reviewing activities periodically, to ensure that project expenditures are used within limits and guidelines approved by the Country Office;
  • Organize in collaboration with the CPI coordinator and the Provincial coordinator Community based various awareness raising activities;
  • Facilitate and organize field visits of various stakeholders at field sides for effective implementation and support to ensure sustainability;
  • Develop, maintain and improve work coordination with local key partners (community,  NGO, international bodies and DM Authorities), to ensure the successful implementation of the project activities;
  • Provide regular  and follow up support  to communities  organizations on CB-DRR/DRM, SBDRR/SBDRM activities;
  • Develop progress reports periodically to line manager, in order to ensure the provision of accurate and updated information;
  • Undertakes any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
