Mybro Foods is seeking a dedicated Accountant with at least three years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and ensure audit compliance while working closely with a small team. Experience in product costing, particularly within the poultry processing sector, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct cost accounting activities, focusing on product costing specifically in poultry processing operations.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support internal and external audit processes.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and ERP systems to manage financial data efficiently.
- Perform advanced data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and other relevant functions.
- Oversee and support the work of a team member, providing training and supervision as needed.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and support business decision-making.
- Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit tax filings and ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations.
- Monitor budgetary controls and assist in the preparation of financial forecasts.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and adhere to company policies and ethical standards.
