VR/AR Developer Job opportunity
MetaZura is looking to hire a Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (XR) developer who will be working on immersive experience solutions using the Unity platform and similar tools. This is a full-time position based in Islamabad.
MetaZura is a next-generation metaverse company developing immersive experiences for unique use cases. The emergence of AR/VR, Gaming platforms, and blockchain is offering novel solutions to the problem by enhancing and in some cases replacing the physical realm of things we used to be constrained with.
By joining this young and dynamic company, you will play a pivotal role in helping to build and support a growing ecosystem, which includes the creation of AR/VR applications, the rapid development of proofs-of-concept, technical documentation, tutorials, technical articles, web3 game demos, and presentation.
Major Responsibilities:
- Create sample Web3 VR/AR projects using Unity Engine or similar tools.
- Ability to set up and design new projects that can be deployed to multiple platforms – Windows, Linux, VR/AR headsets
- Investigate, innovate and push forward new Web3 standards
- Collaborate with developers to streamline backend data tools into interfaces/applications
- Support industry-leading engineers and scientists in the development of immersive technology applications to enhance collaboration and understanding of space concepts
- Create and maintain developer documentation, tutorials, and video materials.
- Identify areas of the developer experience which require improvement and push forward solutions.
- Participate in both virtual and in-person meetups with community members, project teams, and developers.
Requirements:
- One plus year of experience as a Unity developer
- Experience with virtual reality, Bolt visual scripting, Unity UI, and Oculus Quest.
- One plus year of experience in smart contract development in solidity is a major plus
- Must be able to speak fluent English.
- Must be able to write clear and concise documentation and presentations.
- Maintain a respectable and professional public persona.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to and speak at blockchain or gaming conventions.
Qualification:
- The minimum qualification required for the position is a Bachelor/Master in Computer sciences, Software Engineering.
- Experience in a programming language (C#, C++) is essential.
