Human Resources Manager Job Description:

           We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team!

  • Implements daily human resources activities including recruitment, employment, HR project management, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations and communications, with direction from the EDHR.
  • Advises managers of company policy regarding employment law, equal employment opportunities, compensation, employee benefits, and safety.
  • Serves as advocate for employees, while advising management regarding appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
  • Exhibits strong knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill entry-level, professional and technical job openings
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
  • Keeps EDHR updated of problems and concerns of Employees and gives recommendations in resolving problems.
  • Conducts new-hire orientation
  • Conducts provided training as needed.
  • Maintains working relationship with union officials and adheres to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions.
  • Represents management in investigating, answering and settling grievances, by arranging and scheduling grievance hearings between union personnel, supervisor and the management team.
  • Conduct exit interviews and collect data for analysis for use in retention and training programs.
  • Ensures unemployment claims paperwork is processed and submitted in an appropriate manner. Represents the company for any unemployment hearings.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the EDHR.

Essential Requirements:

  • Passion for talent, increasing employee capability and achieving business results through people development.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Multilingual – English and Urdu required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, influencing, collaboration, negotiation, presentation, and proactive organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proven record of handling multiple projects and initiatives of varying scope and delivering high quality results within defined timelines.
  • Four-year degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred with five (5) years minimum progressive experience in Human Resource administration.
  • Experience in a union environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to speak effectively in a public environment.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
