Act as a liaison between engineering, sales, manufacturing and the customer in support of a full range of critical sales functions, including quoting, order entry and product delivery.
Manage inquiries requiring a technical lead, including: gaining an understanding of customer applications and needs; guiding customer equipment selection/specification process; answering technical and commercial questions to assist customers in understanding our products and ability to deliver them; and gaining awareness of engineering, manufacturing capacity and procurement intricacies to provide realistic and achievable delivery dates.
Generate equipment quotations, including: creating cost estimates; creating relevant sales drawings; pricing equipment; and pulling internal resources as required to solicit input to reduce risks or improve estimate accuracy.
Support post-order activities by ensuring the customer requirements are clearly communicated to engineering, supporting design reviews for accuracy, and providing status updates to sales and the customer.
Support sales activities and work with the sales team to track technical customer requests, monitor and forecast sales revenue, and work to streamline processes.
