NC Entertainment Pvt Limited seeks a diligent Trade/Import Executive to manage the import documentation and compliance processes within the cotton trading and textile industry. The candidate will serve as a crucial link between overseas sellers and local buyers, ensuring smooth coordination of contracts, letters of credit, shipments, documentation, and payment transactions. This role demands strong communication skills to handle verbal and written correspondence professionally and accurately. The executive will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive sales and contract records using ERP systems and Excel spreadsheets to support efficient operations.
In this position, the Trade/Import Executive does not oversee a team but demonstrates leadership through multitasking and managing multiple responsibilities effectively. The ideal candidate holds a BBA or MBA degree, possesses at least two years of relevant industry experience, and exhibits proficiency in customs documentation, supplier relationship management, shipment tracking, logistics, and compliance with international trade terms and payment procedures. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless import of cotton products and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Handle import documentation and ensure compliance with customs and regulatory policies specific to cotton trading and textiles.
- Coordinate with overseas sellers regarding contracts, letters of credit, shipment schedules, documentation accuracy, and weight claim processes.
- Communicate effectively with local buyers to manage letters of credit, amendments, payments, and import-related documentation.
- Maintain and update sales and contract records accurately within the ERP system and Excel to facilitate operational transparency and reporting.
- Track shipments and work with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of imported goods.
- Manage supplier relationships by addressing queries, resolving issues, and fostering clear communication to support ongoing trade activities.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, including the proper application of Incoterms and payment terms between parties.
- Support internal teams by providing necessary documentation and information related to imports for audit and compliance reviews.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities to handle various administrative, logistical, and communication tasks simultaneously.
- Prepare and review trade documentation to minimize errors and mitigate risks associated with import processes.
