OVERVIEW:
Data Operations and Analysis is an integral part of our data management and governance organization at NCRi. The team is responsible for managing and extending the data acquisition, quality control, and provisioning of enterprise data through the EDS centralized data management platform; leveraging authoritative sources; and delivering fit for purpose data to all NCRi businesses.
Data Specialists are key members of the data operations team. This position provides critical support in the acquisition, management and distribution of structured data to maximize the values from the data sources to the overall enterprise. This role will work with management to identify and implement opportunities to improve operational business processes, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and improve data quality. Review, monitor, assess current operational data needs, and seek opportunities to expand the use of the centralized data platform to all NCRi’s businesses. Participate and contribute to the creation and review of Service Level Agreements, including ongoing development and report management of metrics on these services.
This includes, but not limited to performing daily data operations support and processing; participation in data governance, documenting operational procedures and data requirements, supporting and aligning data delivery, use data governance to determine the best possible solution for the organization. When necessary, act as the interface between IT, EDS, Project Managers and other business units to create operational efficiencies, projects and process specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary responsibilities are to provide critical support of the acquisition, management and distribution of data in compliance with our data governance policies.
- Documenting data requirements and operational processes.
- Serving as in-house data expert for various systems integration and end-to-end data quality and integrity.
- Working with various departments throughout NCRI to support and enhance data and data systems.
- Responsible for developing tools and processes used to maintain a common, firm-wide data standard.
- Working closely with all departments to ensure accurate and reconciled investment data including but not limited to security master data, pricing, portfolio, holdings, transactions, performance, analytics, etc.
- Ability to effectively identify operational work flows and constraints
- Strong understanding and orientation toward customer service and product quality.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3+ years of experience building visually rich presentation for senior executives in business managers.
- Power Bi, DAX and Excel pivoting, charts and slice-dice data.
- Advance data analysis experience and insights generation.
- Strong experience with data visualization in Power BI, excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills – ability to understand the requirements and present the story in a meaningful way
- Good program management and change management skills – ability to work in very agile environment with quick turnaround
Preferred:
- Market research experience in Consumer space
- Power BI report development
- Experience with SQL programming – ability to query data from SQL database and cubes
- Experience working in marketing teams
- Experience Statistical tools like SAS/R (desirable)
