Primary Responsibilities
· Conduct penetration testing of complex financial applications (web based, desktop based, and mobile applications based)
· Conduct penetration testing of networks and systems
· Develop process documents and perform information security audits
· Develop and maintain security testing plans
· Development of Information Security Incident Response Plan for different scenarios
· Develop meaningful metrics to reflect the true posture of the information security environment allowing the organization to make educated decisions based on risk
· Produce actionable, threat-based, reports on security testing results
· Act as a source of direction, training, and guidance
· Mentor and coach other IT security staff to provide guidance and expertise in their growth
· Consult with application developers, systems administrators, and management to demonstrate security testing results, explain the threat presented by the results, and consult on remediation
· Communicate security issues to a wide variety of internal and external “customers” to include technical teams, executives, risk groups, vendors and regulators
Penetration Testing Expert requirements and qualifications
· Experience as a Penetration Testing Expert for at least 5 years in a reputable organization
· Experience in the area of process documentation and understanding of ISO 27001 and related security standards/guidelines
· Bachelors in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or Information Security discipline
· In-depth knowledge of application development processes and at least one programing or scripting language (e.g., Java, Scala, C#, Ruby, Perl, Python, PowerShell)
· Hands on experience with testing frameworks such as PTES and OWASP
· Sound knowledge of Windows client/server environments, Unix/Linux systems, VMware, and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure etc.
· Certifications such as CISSP, CEH would be advantageous
