We are looking for a competent Network & System Support Engineer to join our team and provide technical assistance to our US-based clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing both system and network-related issues with professionalism and strong problem-solving skills. This role demands hands-on experience with multiple operating systems and networking technologies, along with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and maintain detailed documentation of all support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 system and network issues promptly.
- Support Windows and Linux server environments, including management of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Configure and maintain networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate optimally.
- Respond to support tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain clear, professional communication with US clients and document all work thoroughly.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in system and network support roles.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments, basic Linux administration, and Active Directory management.
- Experience with firewall and VPN technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills paired with effective communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) or providing international technical support is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or MCSA are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems like Zendesk or ConnectWise is preferred.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Lahore. Candidates must be available to work from the office to ensure effective client support.
