GigTricks Pakistan (a group company of Neusol) is looking for a talented and energetic Journalist for its international brand. The position will be based at our Karachi branch office.
Are you a veritable wordsmith of sorts? Can you produce good quality written pieces in a limited time frame? You might just have the makings of a great journalist.
You will seek out news, interviews, opinion, and comment and present it in an arresting and engaging style. You don’t just work for our website on-page and off page blogs, but also for the new wave of online publications that are springing up left, right and centre.
You will be primarily responsible for conceptualizing, writing, editing and promoting the content for our website. Just a few of the most popular blog categories include graphic design, video/animation, programming & tech, writing and translation, freelancing and entrepreneurship.
You must come up with post ideas, conduct research for each post, write in an engaging and clear manner, check their work for errors, find relevant photos to include with the post and publish the post on a specific date.
Craft relevant original content. It's your main goal, so don’t even think about cutting and pasting from other sites. Google doesn’t like that. You will have to write it yourself.
Have a social media presence. In order to rank high in searches and generate new page views, it may be part of your responsibility as a Journalist / Blogger to help spread the good word on Twitter and Facebook. Knowing how to popular social media platforms is key.
Create backlinks. Catering posts to suit long tail and short tail keywords for SEO is important. You’ll want to stay ahead of the trends and know what phrases and words are specific to your company’s culture and mission.
Required Education & Experience:
Degree in Journalism (English) with relevant 2 years of experience in a similar role
IELTS or TOEFL with good score is an advantage..
