- Vendor sourcing for construction materials from international and domestic markets
- Assist to prepare RFQ (Request For Quotation)packages for bidding purposes
- Assist to evaluate and negotiate with vendors on material pricing.
- Assist to review and prepare contractual documents for material purchase
- Liaise and follow up with vendors for smooth delivery of materials
- Ad hoc duties such as journal slip, documentation, and any other duties as assigned.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree is must
- 5 years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Attention to detail.
- A purchaser has to develop good relationships with their suppliers, which means good ‘soft skills’ such as communication.
- Successful working relationships often bring added benefits such as new ideas to business or innovative ways of approaching old problems.
- Negotiation is also a key skill to have, as these relationships will not always be easy.
- The supplier wants to make money, and the buyer wants to save it.
- Getting close and gaining a full understanding of the products and services a company needs will make the process easier.
- Knowledge is power So, being able to think laterally is a key skill along with managing the finances.
- This is a highly specialized field and needs close working relationships between the purchasing teams, the engineers, the architects and the site project managers.
- Equipment being sourced has to meet the stringent specification and requirements of the project.
- To complicate things further, needs and requirements may change as the project progresses.
- That’s the challenge and the excitement.
- Buyers also make sure products are received on time as any delays or issues in the supply chain will impact on the final project deadline.
- Responsible for Strategizing and Negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses.
- Direct all operations including purchase, procurement and supply chain logistics.
- Direct Dealing with local & international suppliers/vendors & locally distributors.
- Expedite to Improve affiance and increase profits while managing the overall pertains of procurement.
- Job package must be included salary plus commission.
Procurement Targets: 5 to10 million per month procure on Credit Basis
