Job Summary
Design engineer researches and develops ideas for new products and the systems used to make them. Processes to increase efficiency & improve performance using computer-aided design (CAD).
Creates and modifies medical furniture designs & work in Research and development of medical furniture.
Job Descriptions
- Providing Models and Designs in new tenders.
- Making every design according to specifications and generating multiple designs for each product.
- Coordinating with Technical Department about new designs according to client’s requirement.
- Making fabrication drawings of each product.
- Prepare Bill of Quantity.
- Generating and making Bill of materials on demand.
- Adjusting all process of making product model, Drawings and Bill of Materials in a limited time frame to ensure the productivity from design end.
- Participate in making samples of the factory to ensure the product specifications.
- Adjusting Models, drawings and Bill of materials according to changes during fabrication.
- Client’s Sites Visiting all over the Pakistan on a short notice, to explain, inspection teams our product features for inspection and make sure to get a fruitful response.
- Getting new ideas for medical furniture, from different hospitals and taking product pictures.
- Helping procurement department with technical terms in costing.
- Visit factory occasionally to make sure production as per design provided.
- Make sure to adjust available items in new designs rather than requiring other dimensions
Liaise with clients to identify their requirements
Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing projects or components
Summaries scientific and engineering principles in an easy to understand manner
Write technical reports to summarise findings
Cover the concept, specification, tender and development of new projects or components
Design the aesthetics, materials and functionality of components
Use CAD, CAN, CREO CAM systems to design and visualize projects
Undertake model making, prototyping and product testing
identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs
Undertake complex calculations
Communicate effectively with the clients, colleagues and contractors involved in a project
Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.
