A reputable UK-based accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in serving UK clients to join our team. This is a full-time, office-based role located in Bahria Town Phase 8, Rawalpindi.
Applicants must:
Have at least three years’ experience working with UK firms or UK clients, and
Be based in Rawalpindi (or able to relocate/commute reliably before starting).
The role follows UK business hours, working 1:30 pm – 9:30 pm PKT (aligned with 9:30 am – 5:30 pm UK time).
Key Responsibilities
Prepare year-end financial accounts and Corporation Tax returns for UK clients.
Prepare Personal Tax Returns (Self-Assessment) accurately and on time.
Manage and submit quarterly VAT returns for a portfolio of UK clients.
Perform regular bookkeeping, resolve client queries, and maintain direct client communication.
Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Reconcile balance sheet items to maintain correct financial records.
Analyse financial statements to support client needs and decision-making.
Prepare monthly management accounts to provide ongoing financial insight.
Post adjusting journal entries to keep the general ledger balanced and accurate.
Use Xero and Microsoft Excel confidently and efficiently.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with UK companies or UK clients in a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, Corporation Tax, VAT, and Self-Assessment.
Fluent English (written and spoken) to handle client communication professionally.
Ability to work full-time in an office-based role in Bahria Town Phase 8, Rawalpindi.
Willingness and ability to work UK business hours (1:30 pm – 9:30 pm PKT).
Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications & Benefits
ACCA Part-Qualified candidates, particularly those who have passed the UK Tax (TX) paper, are highly desirable (but this is not mandatory).
Experience with other UK accounting or tax software will be an advantage.
The firm offers a competitive monthly salary in the range of Rs 60,000 – Rs 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
