Job Description

Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

  • Assist technical team in design and development tasks.
  • Utilize software life-cycle methodology.
  • Create and maintain a information technology project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards.
  • Assist test team in creating test plans and testing efforts.
  • Works across the enterprise to create a charter that meets the interests of all company functions affected by the project. Communicates a comprehensive charter and concise business case for the project to all stakeholders.
  • Creates risk-management assessment, advises executives of the trade-offs, and monitors risk factors continually.
  • Provides updates to executives and when necessary influences them to obtain resources and resolve major issues.
  • Creates and presents capital acquisition requests required for the project.
  • Manages multiple sub teams across overall project, and directs leaders of other sub teams, including external vendors and internal technical application teams.
  • Ensures roles and responsibilities are defined for team members.
  • Facilitates meetings including project review sessions, executive updates, and sessions to resolve cross-functional issues.
  • Ensures a consistent method for scheduling monitoring and maintenance.
  • Simultaneously addresses multiple complex issues affecting project schedule and works cross-functionally to address issues and clear roadblocks.
  • Monitors overall project budget, and works with executives to address budgetary issues.
  • Creates engagement and project support by involving directly-affected employees in design and decisions.
  • Manages requirements changes. Negotiates changes between business users and technical teams. Ensures all requirement changes are fully communicated.
  • Provides updates to executives and when necessary influences them to obtain resources and resolve major issues.
  • Communicates with, and makes effective presentations to, all levels of the company.
