NYC Logistics is seeking a highly organized Dispatch Manager to oversee and optimize our food delivery dispatch operations. The successful candidate takes full responsibility for managing a team of five dispatch coordinators, ensuring timely and efficient dispatching of delivery orders. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of five dispatch coordinators to coordinate food delivery operations effectively.
- Develop and implement optimized dispatching strategies that ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of dispatch software, fleet management software, and telematics systems to monitor delivery progress and resource allocation.
- Manage fleet schedules and routes to maximize productivity and minimize delivery times.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and operational protocols within the dispatch team and delivery processes.
- Analyze delivery data and generate reports to identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the logistics and operations departments to align dispatch activities with overall business goals.
- Respond promptly to any issues or delays in the delivery process and develop solutions to resolve operational challenges.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and improve overall team performance.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with delivery personnel and internal departments to foster efficient workflows.
