The Elderly Care Attendant at NYK plays a vital role in providing compassionate and attentive care to senior clients within their homes or care facilities. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assistance with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene maintenance for elderly clients.
- Administer and monitor medication schedules ensuring timely and accurate delivery according to prescribed instructions.
- Support mobility through the safe use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs and walkers, and assist clients in transferring and walking as needed.
- Implement fall prevention strategies and safety protocols to minimize accident risks within the care environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the clients living area to promote a healthy and safe environment.
- Observe and report changes in the physical or mental condition of the elderly to appropriate medical personnel or family members.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce loneliness and improve the mental well-being of clients.
- Follow protocols and instructions given by healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and effective care delivery.
- Respect client privacy and personal dignity while providing care and assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of care activities and communicate pertinent information to family members or medical staff when necessary.
