Nyson Engineering seeks an experienced CNC Programmer and Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in CNC programming and machine operation and demonstrates expertise in CAD/CAM software applications. This role requires the ability to independently handle CNC machine setup and operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in producing precision components. You will manage and lead a team of five individuals, overseeing daily activities to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. Your technical skills combined with leadership abilities will contribute significantly to the success of our manufacturing processes.
In this position, you will coordinate programming efforts with manufacturing requirements, develop and optimize CNC programs for complex machining tasks, and operate equipment with precision measurement tools. You work closely with engineering to troubleshoot and enhance machine productivity and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your experience in managing team workflows and fostering an organized and safe work environment will be essential to delivering on Nyson Engineerings commitment to excellence and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM and CAM software for various production parts.
- Set up CNC machines accurately to run programmed tasks, ensuring precise alignment and calibration.
- Operate CNC machines independently, monitoring functions and making adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Manage and supervise a team of five operators, organizing schedules, delegating tasks, and providing technical support.
- Perform precision measurements and inspections on finished products to guarantee dimensional conformity.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve programming or operational issues promptly.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime and extend machine lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and quality control standards during all phases of production.
- Train and mentor team members on CNC programming techniques and safe machine operations.
- Document and report production data, machine performance, and any deviations encountered during operations.
